Roadheader gas monitoring system
Methane sensing solution for roadheaders contains of methane main sensor unit, ZIM-BX power supply, sensor unit built-in enforced enclosure to ensure its resistance towards mechanical impact.
Methane main sensor is equipped with LCD display for local read out of sensed values. It can be equipped with battery to back-up the energy when power is down. Wifi data transmission available. As standard 4.20 mA data transmission output available to be connected to main roadheader PLC driver.
Methane sensor is connected by a wire with Methane main unit. It can be built-in enforced enclosure to keep it safe from mechanical impact.
ZIM-BX power supply provides intrinsically safe power to the main unit. It has to be fed with 220V or 127V or 42V.
If 220V is not available to fed ZIM-BX system can be delivered with 1100V/220V transformer.
Application
Roadheader gas monitoring system has been designed to be mounted under the roadheaders arm. It can be built into enforced metal enclosure in order to keep it resistant to mechnical impacts. Different enclosure types or a dedicated enclosure can be provided with a sensor in order to make it easy to be mounted on the roadheader.
Sensor provides data transmission and has a relay on board to switch off electric equipment when methane concetration goes over given value.
In order to enlarge its functionality it can be combined with other devices like siren or PLC driver.
