// PROJECT OBJECTIVE
Purpose
The aim of the project is the diversification of the enterprise's production by commencing the production of an automation system for the tunnelling industry, based on a product innovation developed as a result of R&D works conducted by the Company.
The diversification is intended to allow the Applicant to transform the enterprise, which currently constitutes a production facility exclusively serving the mining industry. The diversification will lead to making the Applicant's position independent from the situation on the coal extraction market. The diversification will consist in manufacturing a new automation system for the tunnelling industry - the ATS system. The newly manufactured system is to constitute an element of a safety system utilising a product innovation dedicated to the tunnelling industry.
// OUTCOMES
Deliverables
The implementation of the aforementioned project objective will take place through:
- the expansion of the production facility (construction works) and equipping it with RES,
- equipping the Applicant with a modern machinery park, including: an SMT line, machining centres, cnc lathes, a 3D printer, etc. (fixed assets),
- software for design (intangible assets) and machine configuration as well as a server room, which will allow the Company to meet cybersecurity standards (the IEC 62443 standard concerning the security of industrial automation and control systems).
Production is to be based on Industry 4.0 solutions. The production process is to implement the circular economy (CE).
The project is addressed to enterprises executing tunnelling investments in Europe, in particular general contractors, integrators of large projects, as well as their subcontractors and technology suppliers. Thanks to the implementation of the project, the Company will be able to offer complete and modular systems tailored to the needs of these entities.
Additionally, within the framework of the project, the Applicant will create 3 new jobs. On the premises of the expanded facility, the production of new devices for the tunnelling industry will be carried out. The expanded facility will be equipped with a RES installation, recuperation and a heat pump, and will also allow for ensuring high energy efficiency.
The expansion will consist of constructing a 3‑storey building adjacent to the current facility on a plot of land belonging to the Applicant.
