CHPAS - Air cooler
An indirect air cooler for underground workings and high‑risk rooms. It removes heat using chilled water and lowers the temperature where your crew works.

What it is
High temperatures cost money. They shorten working time, lower efficiency, and increase risk. CHPAS removes heat from the air and transfers it to the chilled water flowing through the copper tube exchanger core. The water flows counter to the air stream, making the exchange more effective.
The housing is made of steel sheet and features handles to facilitate transport and installation at the workplace. You can mount the cooler on a support structure, on feet, or on skids. The structure can be dismantled when the installation site changes.
A droplet separator operates before the air outlet, capturing water drops from the stream. Inspection covers open access to the exchanger core, so inspection and cleaning do not require dismantling the device. Two temperature sensor connections and a built‑in anemometer provide a continuous picture of what is happening in the cooler.
The connections are compatible with coolers from other manufacturers, so replacing the device does not require rebuilding the installation. CHPAS works with UKAS chillers manufactured by ATUT or chillers from other manufacturers with similar parameters, in group and central air conditioning.
The device operates in underground mines and tunnels, in rooms with "a", "b", or "c" degree of methane explosion hazard, and in class A or B coal dust explosion hazard rooms. The safety level according to the PN‑EN 60079‑0 standard is Mb.
