ITC-1 - Intrinsically safe digital telephone

An intrinsically safe digital telephone for calls in an atmosphere at risk of vapour, gas, and dust explosions. It connects two selected subscribers in loudspeaking mode, with a display showing the list and status of callers.

// DESCRIPTION

What it is

ITC‑1 enables half‑duplex loudspeaking communication between two selected devices. Each device has a unique address, equivalent to a phone number, which allows you to select a subscriber. The display shows a list of available subscribers and the status of each, indicating whether they are busy and who they are talking to.

You can assign a short text description to each subscriber, for example, "śc. K6" or "Przesyp W10", which facilitates identification. The equipment includes ATVoice software, which extends voice connections to computer workstations on the surface.

You connect ITC‑1 devices and computer workstations using IMC modems and IKC concentrators underground, and via a computer network on the surface. The number of simultaneous calls depends mainly on the bandwidth of the modem links and with a single link should not be less than 5. When close to the ATUT loudspeaking device bus, ITC‑1 also broadcasts information to these devices and retransmits acoustic signals from the bus to another ITC‑1 or computer station.

The electrical equipment is intrinsically safe, so the device operates in mining facilities, in rooms at risk of methane and coal dust explosions.
