WZA/S - Emergency Stop Switch
Sturdy emergency stop switch for series safety circuits in mining machinery. It breaks the safety circuit at SIL3 level, featuring LED signalling and pull‑wire tension monitoring.

// DESCRIPTION
What it is
WZA/S is a sturdy switch for series safety circuits in mining machinery, such as along belt conveyor routes or suspended monorail tracks. In an emergency, you pull the wire or press the palm button, and the switch breaks the safety circuit. The LED indicates whether the switch is tripped or untripped.
It breaks the safety circuit at SIL3 level according to the PN‑EN‑61508 standard. It monitors the tension of the wire connected to both sides of the device and breaks the circuit if the wire breaks, featuring a mechanical lock for this state. You secure the switch mechanically, for instance with a padlock, against uncontrolled resetting.
It features a separate terminal compartment and 3 changeover contacts. The WZA/1 version has 2 cable entries, while the WZA/2 version has 4.
Device category I M1, explosion‑protected Ex ia I. Functional safety certificate OBAC/08/MD/SIL/325, ATEX certificate KDB 04ATEX270.
