ISPS-2 - Intrinsically safe serial port server
An intrinsically safe server translating the RS‑422 or RS‑485 serial network signal to 100Base‑FX fibre‑optic. It can also operate as a converter between an intrinsically safe Ethernet network and Wi‑Fi, in access point mode.

// DESCRIPTION
What it is
ISPS‑2 translates the signal between an RS‑422 or RS‑485 serial network and a 100Base‑FX fibre‑optic network. It supports data transmission between ATUT‑NET system devices or others operating in these standards and an intrinsically safe 10/100Base‑TX Ethernet or wireless Wi‑Fi network.
It features four RS‑422/485 ports in one module and an Ethernet port with an RJ‑45 connector. LED diodes show settings and operating parameters in real time.
The electrical equipment is intrinsically safe, so the device operates directly in underground mines and tunnels, in rooms at risk of methane and coal dust explosions. It requires an enclosure with a minimum IP54 protection rating. Device category I M1, explosion‑protected Ex ia op is I Ma design, ATEX certificate KDB 13 ATEX 0087X.
